Krishna Peacock
Queen of Himalayan Butterflies
A rare species of the high Himalayas, the Krishna Peacock butterfly has a wingspan of five inches, black with colorful iridescent spots that appear and disappear as it moves. Seen skipping from puddle to puddle on a rough road through the deepest valley in the world, alongside the Kali Gandaki River.
