Green Frog Sitting on Northern Watersnake

In Seasonal Vermont Stream

This Watersnake didn't flinch when the Green Frog landed on it. The stream carries runoff from heavy rains along the edge of a pasture and becomes hidden by tall grass by mid-summer.
