Chipmunk Hangs Out with Barred Owl

This spring morning was a memorable early sighting of the owls in this family. The chipmunk in the photo is not quite dead yet, occasionally kicking and struggling as it hung from the beak of the Barred. Its movement stopped quickly and the Owl flew to another perch to process the catch.
